Description
Coming from the annonaceae plant family (which includes no less than 2,500 species …), the ylang-ylang (or cananga odorata in Latin) is a large tropical tree with gray bark and can reach about 25 meters high at the wild. It is native to Madagascar and can now be cultivated as much in Madagascar, as in the Comoros or even in Réunion. A true panacea for tranquility, ylang-ylang essential oil also has well-known antispasmodic effects. It is in this capacity that it acts as a respiratory and cardiac calming agent.
